Virginia Stacey Tumblin, age 81, of Arbovale, formerly of Cass, passed from this life Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Born November 30, 1935, in Raleigh County, she was a daughter of the late Sam Stacey and Myrtle Bragg Stacey.

Virginia retired from Western Electric Company in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a homemaker, and for many years, operated Tumblin’s Tavern.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Thomas Tumblin; two sisters, Delphia Stacey and Ruth Meadows; and a brother, Dave Ray Stacey.

She is survived by a daughter, Jenny White, and husband, Junior; two grandsons, TJ Murray, and wife, Stephanie, and Dustin White, and partner, Brittany; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Sophia, Colton, Dorothy and Daltin; and two sisters, Betty Goins, and husband, James, and Ora Mae Szeche, all of Baltimore, Maryland.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11, 6 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.
