Town Hall Meeting at Beckley VA

Beckley VA Medical Center will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 5 p.m.  The event will be held in the Chapel of the Medical Center.

Veterans, family members and other beneficiaries are invited to attend.  Congressional stakeholders, veterans service organizations, state and local governmental organizations and community partners are welcome.

The town hall meeting will be open to the media.  To protect individual privacy and confidentiality, specific individual issues should be addressed before or after the meeting, not during the public forum.  Patient Advocates will be available.

Additionally, representatives from the Huntington VA Regional Office will be available beginning at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. to assist Veterans with individual claim issues.

Medical Center Director Karin L. McGraw and the Center’s management team will be present, along with other key staff, to provide updates on the facility’s progress on improving access, scheduling, and other relevant issues. The management team is seeking feedback from veterans to continue to improve the health system.

Activities include archery, geology, rock wall climbing, rifle simulation, campfires, self defense, swimming, crafts, paddle boats and a survival course.

Applications are available from Post 4595 Commander Geoff Hamill at The Pocahontas Times or from Post 4595 Adjutant Barry Sharp. Post 4595 must receive applications no later than June 15.
