Veda Johnson

Veda E. Johnson, age 93, of Cass, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Pocahontas Center.

Born November 20, 1920, in the Brush Country near Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Lula Belle Miller Irvine.

Veda was a homemaker, farmer and was a member of Fairview Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Johnson; sisters, Leona Dilley, Gladys Friel, Margaret “Maggie” Beverage and Dorothy Dempsey; and brothers, Mearl, Verlin, Ralph, Angus, Ray. Clarence “Buck” and Donald Irvine.

She is survived by a son, James R. Johnson, of Cass; a sister, Lisa Fishburn, of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
