Calling all yoga, meditation and relaxation enthusiasts. June 5 through 7, Snowshoe Mountain Resort will transform into a mecca for the well-being of your mind, body and soul.

The three-day event includes programs provided by expert yoga and meditation instructors, eclectic musical performances, speakers, local art and culinary creations featuring vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free selections.

The “Wanderlust Experience” is divided into categories – Practice, Listen, Explore, Learn and Taste.

The yoga and meditation programs range from relaxing and comical to sweaty and vigorous.

“Whether you’re an experience yogi or meditator, or are brand new to the practice, you can create your ideal day at Wanderlust,” the website states. “There are classes for all levels – from beginner to expert – as well as a wide variety of practice styles and venue types. Mix in meditation or relaxing yin classes with sweaty, uplifting vinyasa, or challenge yourself with something completely new like standup paddleboard yoga or aerial yoga.”

The majestic beauty of the mountain provides the perfectly relaxing background needed to find your center. Classes are offered outside or in a more intimate, indoor setting which includes accompaniment by live musicians or a DJ.

The days and evenings are filled with musical performances – from intimate sessions to large stage concerts – there’s a little something for everyone looking for a groovy beat.

“Our music lineup is just as much about discovery as it is about seeing artists you know and love,” the website states. “Revel in a wide variety of musical performers in myriad settings – from epic main stage performances to intimate acoustic shows to the many performances accompanying our yoga classes. If you get inspired by the artists on stage, you can try your hand at a few tunes with drumming, guitar and other music workshops.”

For the more adventurous types, the terrain of Snowshoe Mountain offers great hiking and biking trails. Several guided tours head into the woods to fully surround visitors in the beauty of nature.

The Wanderlust lecture series is called the Speakeasy – a forum for prominent authors, yoga teachers, musicians, heal-th experts, business leaders and filmmakers to share their expertise on the “mindful life.”

Wanderlust is all about local and sustainable foods and catering to the needs of those with specific diets.

“Grass-fed, cold-pressed, small-batch, gluten-free – if it’s got a hyphen and is good to eat, it’s likely at Wanderlust,” the website states. “Wanderlust offers healthy fare throughout the festival, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite from the hand-picked vendors in our food co-op or sitting down at the Farm to Table dinner, our mountain top local food experience. We also offer Wanderlust Uncorked – small gatherings featuring the best craft wine and beer, and even better company.”
