Trixie May Chayer, 75, of Stamping Creek, died Friday, May 2, 2025, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born June 18, 1949, on Stamping Creek, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel Blankenship Lewis.

Trixie was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney O. Chayer; son, Jay S. Clark; and brother, Wayne Lewis.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Amber Clere; step-granddaughter, Kaylee Adwell; daughter-in-law, Patsy Adwell; brother, Delbert Lewis; sisters, Thelma Turner and Theda Baxter; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at VanReenen Funeral Home with Larry Rose officiating.

Burial was in Sharp Cemetery on Stamping Creek.
