Treva L. Wilson, age 91, of Lewisburg, formerly of Minnehaha Springs, and Ironton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Born July 7, 1926, in Ironton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Fred L. and Elizabeth H. Bowen Shively.

Treva was a 1944 graduate of Ironton High School and a homemaker. She also worked retail in Ironton at Walker’s Shoes, Mearan’s Clothing, Harmon’s Clothing and Swain’s Florist.

She loved telling stories about things that happened in downtown Ironton in her younger days, when she knew the vast majority of the people who lived there. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and played for church services and many other programs and events throughout her life. Her most recent musical achievement was “Singalong with Treva,” which was held twice-monthly at the assisted living home where she lived and provided joy and inspiration to many of the residents there.

She was a long-time member of the Ironton Music Club and the Lawrence County Garden Club and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ironton and Minnehaha Springs United Methodist Church.

After Bob retired, the couple moved to Minnehaha Springs, where they lived for several years before moving to the Seasons Place assisted living in Lewisburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Joe “Bob” Wilson, who passed away July 10, 2016; and sister, Norma Hughes.

She is survived by two children, R. Dale Wilson, and wife, Emily, of East Lansing, Michigan, and Rita Wilson Kelly, and husband, Tony, of Minnehaha Springs; three grandchildren, Travis Wilson, and wife, Erin, of East Lansing, Michigan, Brandon Kelly, and wife, Kristen, of Minnehaha Springs, and Staci Kelly and Justin Smith, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; four great-grandsons, Jesse Kelly, of Minnehaha Springs, Cole Robert Wilson and Brent Wilson, both of East Lansing, Michigan, and Jackson Lee Smith, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; sister-in-law Joyce Wilson; nieces, Linda Hughes Wilson, Janet Hughes Simmons, Rhonda Wilson; and nephews, Bill Hughes and Tim Wilson.

Treva was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Graveside service was held June 23 in Woodland Cemetery, in Ironton, Ohio, with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating.
