Timothy Shanahan

Timothy J. Shanahan, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, following a long illness.

Tim was born September 28, 1936, at Cambridge, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years, and worked for 24 years at General Dynamic Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut. He loved construction work.

His parents came to America from Ireland in the 1920s.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Maureen DiMasi, Eileen Subilosky and Agnes Whitermore.

He is survived by his wife, Carroll Oliver Shanahan; three sons, Michael Shanahan, Daniel Shanahan and Gregory Shanahan; a daughter, Kathleen Shanahan; three sisters, Pat Arena, Kathleen Shanahan and Paulene Mary; a brother, Eugene Shananhan; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Military service was held April 8 in Arbovale Cemetery.
