Sterle Gillispie

Sterle L. Gillispie, age 79, of Jamestown, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday morning, March 28, 2021, at his home.

Born September 21, 1941, in Arbovale, he was a son of the late Delbert L. and Mae S. Snyder Gillispie. Sterle was a 1959 graduate of Green Bank School and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed at General Electric Company for 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children and two brothers.

He is survived by a daughter, Anita Hartz, and companion, Ed White, of Adamsville, Pennsylvania; a son, Terry Gillispie, and wife, Tina, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three sisters, Nancy, Nadine and Susan; four brothers, Johnny, Julian, Wayne and Steven; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors by the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corp will be held Friday, April 2, 2021, at 1 p.m. in Arbovale Cemetery.
