Stanley Bennett

Stanley Edward Bennett, age 71, of Slaty Fork, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., in Morgantown.

Born December 7, 1943, at Woodrow, he was a son of the late Eary and Mattie Jackson Bennnett.

Stanley was a disabled coal miner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Biggs and Agnes Trainer; and two brothers, Guy Anderson Bennett and George Galen Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Heckler Bennett; sons, Rick Lee Bennett, of Buckeye, and Daniel Wayne Bennett, of Del Ray, Virginia; a sister, Edna Arbogast, of Valley Head; brothers, Robert Lee Bennett, of Slaty Fork, Glade Clarence Bennett, of Dunmore, and Keith Don Bennett, of Valley Head; and one grandchild.

Funeral service was November 10 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Annie Fretwell officiating. Interment was in Cochran Cemetery in Onoto.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
