Mon Power has scheduled a brief, 15 minute power interruption for the Snowshoe area beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 21.
The purpose is to disconnect the mobile transformer near the Linwood Substation that has been in place since July, and connect the new, permanent transformer.
Approximately 900 Mon Power customers will be affected, which includes a large number of seasonal homes.
Planned outage October 19
Mon Power’s previously scheduled power outage is still on for several areas for Monday, October 19.
The interruption will occur from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., affecting approximately 3,200 customers in the vicinity of Buckeye, Dunmore, Hunt- ersville, Marlinton and Minnehaha Springs.
