Our dear wife and mother, Shirley Darlene Armstrong, 73, of Buckeye, sadly passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022.
She was a wonderful wife and mother who always was there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community.
She was preceded in death by son, Ricky Allen Armstrong; daughter, Lori Morrison; parents, John Doss and Vada Rose Adkinson; brothers, Marvin Doss and Danny Doss; and infant siblings, Linda and Roger Doss.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Arden Armstrong; daughters, Virginia Calhoun, and husband, Jimmy, Melissa Bennett, and husband, Keith, and Cristina Liptrap, and husband, Tim; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Rudd; brother, Gary Doss; and many friends and family members who lovingly called her Mee-maw.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 512 Third Avenue in Marlinton.
