HILL REUNION
A reunion of the descendants of Richard Hill, the pioneer, will be held at Droop Mountain State Park August 27, 1950. Everyone is welcome. Especially all the Hills interested in making this an annual affair, please be present. Bring a lunch and enjoy the day. And

BIRTHDAY PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. J. Z. Johnson entertained on Thursday evening, July 20, celebrating the 10th birthday of their daughter, Margaret Fleming. At five o’clock, the young guests were served a picnic supper, which was followed by an hour or so of outdoor play and pony riding. A hayride for the trip home rounded out the evening’s fun. Guests present were Jane Ellen Seagraves, Jane Kay Michael, Marilyn Harper, Lockhart Moore, Louise Currence, Beverly Nottingham, Roberta Miller, Nancy Gay and Judy Sharp.
WEDDINGS
Jacob Leonard Jackson and Mrs. Iva Moore Landis were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Sharp on Browns Creek July 26, 1950. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are at home in Riverside.

On Thursday afternoon, July 13, 1950, at Hot Springs, Virginia, Helen Lucille Shinaberry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shinaberry, of Huntersville, became the bride of Glen Howard Kelly, of Canton, Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clete Kelley, also of Huntersville.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Tincher, of Mill Point, a son, Elmer Lee, Jr.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lane, of Marlinton, a son, Robert Allen.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sheets, of Marlinton, a son, Charles Lee.
DEATHS
Mrs. Clara Ruth Gay Hill, aged 67 years, widow of the late Dr. Ernest B. Hill, died at her home in Clarksburg. The funeral service was conducted at the First Methodist Church of Clarksburg, with burial in Mt. View Cemetery. The deceased was born at Edray, a daughter of the late George K. and Mary Alice Barlow Gay.

Owen Cochran, 62, of Volga, was killed July 12, 1950, while working for the Norman Lee Coal Co. of Gassaway. He was a son of the late George and Nancy Cochran, of Droop Mountain. Funeral service at Carver Funeral Home in Buckhannon with burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Forrest King Moore, of Marlinton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson Moore, departed this life July 11, 1950, at the home of his son, David Moore, of Durbin.
The deceased was united in marriage to Margaret Ellen Grogg, of Durbin, February 1, 1893. To this union were born two sons and three daughters…
Funeral service was conducted from the Bethel Church with burial in the Bethel Cemetery.
Thus is noted the passing of a loving husband and father and a friend to all who knew him.
