Seeking CCC stories

Ken Springer
Watoga Park Foundation

Watoga State Park is in the process of improving and updating the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum located next to the park office.

The Watoga Trail Report is interested in your stories and anecdotes about the CCC.

Most of the men who were members of the CCC have passed on, but perhaps your father or another relative served in this distinguished group that helped bring the nation out of the depths of the Great Depression.

So much of what we now treasure, like Watoga State Park, was built by these young men who lived in financially desperate times, and many of them went on to serve in World War II.

Your contribution of their stories and memories would be greatly appreciated.

You can leave a message on the Hike Watoga Facebook page or send it directly to me at ken49bon@gmail.com
