Sarah Mullenax

Sarah K. Smoker Mullenax, age 88, of Durbin, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at her home.

Born March 3, 1927, at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Mariam Long Smoker.

Sarah was a member of the Boyer Hill Mennonite Church and a retired night watchman for Howes Leather Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Franklin Mullenax; a sister, Anna Rell; and a brother, Thomas “Sonny” Smoker.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Walton, and husband, Mark, of Dunmore; grandchildren, Michael Scott Vance, and wife, Crystal Dawn, of Durbin, Jeanette McDonald, and husband, Bryan, of Moorefield, and Jack Vance, of Moundsville; great-granddaughters, Charity DeHaven and Brittany Rexrode; great-grandsons, Austin DeHaven and Brandon Rexrode; brothers, Levi Smoker, of California, and Israel Smoker, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and step-brothers, Harry Long, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Sammie Long, of Wyoming.

Graveside service was February 13 at the Arbovale Cemetery with Pastors James Helmuth and Dave Plank officiating.
