Earlier this month the three SADD – Students Against Destructive Decision – Chapters at Pocahontas County High, Marlinton Middle and Green Bank planted red tulips at their schools.
In Planting the Promise, these SADD students took a pledge to live a life free from the negative influences of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. In the spring, their promise will be visible when the tulips bloom.
This activity was sponsored by the Pocahontas County Prevention Coalition and Family Resource Network. The Prevention Coalition will have a booth at the Autumn Harvest Festival where tulips will be available so you can Plant your Promise. Photo courtesy of Cheryl Jonese
