Roy W. “Bud” Anderson, Jr., age 80, of Minnehaha Springs, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at LewisGale Regional Hospital in Salem, Virginia.

Born May 25, 1936, at Mt. Grove, Virginia, he was a son of the late Roy Wanamaker and Flossie Anderson.

Bud attended Minnehaha United Methodist Church. He was a self-employed logger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, William, Wayne and Randy; and a son-in-law, Marvin Wilkinson.

He is survived by his life-long companion, Karen McPherson, whom he dearly loved; two daughters, Loretta Lynn Anderson, of Palm City, Florida, and Angela Ann Wilkinson, of Huntersville; a son, Todd Allen Anderson, and wife, Penny, of Okeechobee, Florida; four grandchildren, Cody Broce, Brittany Blanco, Sami Jo Anderson and Josh Anderson; a sister, Anna Gail, of Salem; and two brothers, Clarence Anderson, and wife, Carol, of Huntersville, and Gordy Anderson, and wife, Juanita, of Marlinton.

Funeral service was August 12 at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Pastor Jim Wentz officiating. Interment was in Mt. Grove Cemetery in Mt. Grove, Virginia.
