Ronnie William Arbogast, age 77, of Coats, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016.

Born August 16, 1939, he was a son of the late Opal Pearl and Corbett William Arbogast.

Ronnie worked as a welder for various companies, the NRAO and, in his later years, at Cass Scenic Railroad. He very much loved people and often spoke to them. His home was always Dunmore.

His grandchildren were the only thing that would make Ronnie leave Dunmore. He visited every four to six weeks since the birth of his first grandchild. Pops, Papa was the grandchildren’s world and vice-versa. “Love is All You Need.” ~ The Beatles

Three years ago, he went to Coats, North Carolina, and made it his new home, “The only place that’s ever been home except the lower end of Pocahontas County.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Rose Circosta Arbogast, with whom he remained lifelong friends to raise a daughter and seek advice from one another; and two sisters, Joyce Brock and Barbara Arbogast. He is survived by a daughter, Toni Arbogast, of Coats, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Madison, Griffin and Ian, of Coats, North Carolina; and a brother, Jim Arbogast, of Omaha, Nebraska.

Family will receive friends Friday, November 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service is Saturday, November 12, 2 p.m. at the Dunmore United Methodist Church with Pastors David Rittenhouse and David Fuller officiating.

Interment will be in the Arbovale Cemetery.
