Robert L. Quinn, of Buckeye, and formerly of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, departed this life Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Born June 18, 1941, he was a son of the late John J. and Bessie E. Quinn.

Bob was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania on a WPGA scholarship. He received his Master’s Degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was employed for 33 years as a business education teacher at Hempfield Area High School in Greenburg, Pennsylvania, where he taught typing and other office skills to thousands of children.

Bob was a part-time driver for Pocahontas County Senior Citizens, Inc., throughout 2010. He was an active member of the Marlinton Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John T. Quinn.

He is survived by a niece, Melanie Quinn, of Hobe Sound, Florida; and a godson, Nathanuel C. Huey, of Cochranton, Pennsylvania.

In a private ceremony, Bob was laid to rest in the Stouffer Cemetery of the Mt. Salem United Methodist Church in White, Pennsylvania.

Memorials in Bob’s memory may be made to the Western Pennsylvania Gold Association, 324 Fourth Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
