Robert Lee Hall, Jr., age 86, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Born March 30, 1929, at Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Elizabeth Jordan Hall.
Robert was a retired mechanic for a coal mine. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Collene Virginia Moore Hall; brothers, James Hall, Lec Hall, Neal Hall, Roy Hall and Johnny Hall; and sisters, Maggie Payne and Ruth Hollandsworth.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy McLaughlin, and husband, David, of Dunmore; sons, Robert Randall Hall, and Ronald George Hall, and wife, Maria, all of Hillsboro, and Kenneth Lee Hall, and wife, Margie, of Marlinton; a sister, Dorothy Fowler, of Baltimore, Maryland; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends August 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home. Funeral service is August 13 at 2 p.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Kerry Workman officiating. Interment with Military Rites will be in the McNeel Cemetery in Hillsboro.
