Reva Lynn Hevener, age 88, of Deer Run, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Born February 3, 1926, at Ft. Seybert, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Louise Kee Bodkin and was raised by the late George Ed and Jennie Hinkle.

Reva was married to Stanley Cleveland Hevener, who preceded her in death on September 21, 1982. Mrs. Hevener was a 1943 graduate of Franklin High School and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a farmer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, a twin sister, Mary Louise Bodkin, Norene Rodgers and Arleta Kuykendall.

Reva is survived by three daughters, Linda Stewart, of Green Bank, Dianne McConnell, and husband, David, of Franklin, and Louise Moore, and husband, Jerry, of Franklin; a son, George Hevener, and wife, Cary, of Brandywine; five grandchildren, Davy McConnell, and wife, Kathy, of Franklin, Tom Stewart, of Boston, Massachusetts, Suzanne Stewart, of Green Bank, Jared Moore, of Franklin, and Jordan Hevener, of Brandywine; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter McConnell and Reagan McConnell.

Funeral service was April 26 at the Basagic Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Rev. Bob Anderson and Forrest Rodgers officiating. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin.

Memorials may be made to Pendleton County Rescue Squad, Pendleton Manor or a charity of choice.
