Raymond M. Sutton, age 92, of St. Albans, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Hubbard House in Charleston.
Born July 18, 1921, at Alvon, he was a son of the late Francis and Bessie Sutton.
As a young man, Raymond moved his family to Charleston and retired from Chemical Tank Line in 1984. After retirement, he moved back to his beloved Woodrow, near Marlinton, until the fall of 2013, when he moved back to St. Albans.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Mildred A. Woods Sutton; sons, Kenneth and wife, Deborah, of St. Albans, and Ralph and wife, Linda, of Laurens, South Carolina; a sister, Mary Wilson, of St. Albans; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was April 22 at Marlinton Church of God with Rev. Fred Goldizen officiating. Interment was in Cochran Cemetery in Onoto.
