Larry Strader

Larry Ray “Bigg Dogg” Strader, age 67, of Buckeye, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home.

Born August 20, 1946, at Richwood, he was a son of the late Gerald Strader and Chole Dorsey Persinger.

Larry was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church; he was a coal miner and worked for Burns Motor Freight as a Tire Technician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hayes; and a brother, Timothy Persinger.

He is survived by his wife, Junida Strader, of Buckeye; two daughters, Wendy Brown, and husband, Larry, of Canvas, and Holly Strader, of Buckeye; a son, Eugene Strader, of Buckeye; four grandchildren, Silver and Elizabeth Strader and Marcus and Mason Simmons; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was April 21 at Ruckman Cemetery with Rev. Chris Scott officiating.

Memorials may be made to Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church.
