Raymond Geiger

Raymond Vaughn Geiger, age 96, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Broadview Assisted Living in Tallahassee, Florida.

Born January 4, 1921, at Stony Bottom, he was a son of the late William Vaughn Geiger and Mamie Geiger Higgins.

Raymond retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He worked for 15 years as an aircraft maintenance and repair manager at Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa P. Geiger; a son, Gene E. Geiger; and a sister, Gladys Chester.

He is survived by a son, Raymond K. Geiger, and wife, Lauren, of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter-in-law, Ginny Geiger, of Keystone Heights, Florida; eight grandchildren, Raymond Geiger, Andria Price, and husband, Jim, Michelle Clark, and husband, Terry, Sam Geiger, and wife, Amy, Jackson Geiger, and fiancée, Micah, Gene Geiger, and wife, Tara, Bill Geiger, and wife, Sara, and Patsy Lee, and husband, Todd; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held May 6 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida. Interment was in Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Florida.
