Ray Russell Ewing passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Selma, California.
Born July 1, 1931, he was a son of the late Euphie W. and Kathleen Hypes Ewing.
Ray loved West Virginia and all its beauty. His favorite song was “Take Me Home Country Roads.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Odessa Mae Ewing; and a brother, Huling D. Ewing.
He is survived by a son, Mike Ewing, and wife, Debbie, of Selma, California; a daughter, Kathy Leonard, and husband, Gary, of Oroville, California; grandchildren, Rayna Daniel, Brandon Trinwith, Tyler Leonard and Becky Ewing; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Ewing, and wife, Faye, of White Sulphur Springs, and Ken Ewing, and wife, Pat, of Beckley; brothers-in-law, Al Cataldo, of Warren, Pennsylvania, and Ronnie Cole, and wife, Janet, of Arbovale; sister-in-law, Frances Crist, and husband, Donnie, of Odenton, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Ray’s wishes, the body was cremated and placed by his loving wife, Odessa, in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Edmond.
