Arden George Killingsworth, of Marlinton, poses in uniform at Camp Hancock, Georgia, in 1918 during World War I. He was assigned to 7 Casual Company, 1st Provisional Regiment O.T.C. Mr. Killingsworth was a prominent citizen of Marlinton, a graduate of Marshall University, a contractor, and a coach and teacher at Marlinton High School. He was married to Leeta Emma Beard Killingsworth who also taught at M.H.S. Mr. Killingsworth was born August 1, 1893 and died March 31, 1972. He is buried at Mountain View Cemetery.
