Free Sports Physicals

Pocahontas Memorial Hospital’s Rural Health Clinic is pleased to offer free sports physicals, by appointment, any time this month.

Sports physicals will also be available on a walk-in basis on June 28 during the Annual Youth Health Fair.

Students will not be charged a fee for the sports physicals, however insurance will be billed, if applicable. If you would rather make an appointment for a sports physical for a day other than the Youth Health Fair, please call the Rural Health Clinic at 304-799-6200.

Students of any age are invited to attend PMH’s Youth Health Fair June 28 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The Youth Health Fair is a day filled with fun – games, prizes, free food, a snake exhibit and a helicopter landing.

In addition, special exhibits will be set up, encouraging young people to lead a healthy lifestyle. These stations will focus on things like sun safety, drug prevention and healthy eating.

Various county organizations, such as the Marlinton Rescue Squad, Pocahontas County Health Department, Birth to Three, West Virginia State Police and the Pocahontas Prevention Coalition, will be on hand with information about their services.
