Phyllis “Pam” A. Friel, 63, of Bartow, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at home.
Born September 20, 1962, at Prince George, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Jackson George and Janet Snyder Queen Marshall
Pam was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and she loved her fur babies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Marshall, Jerry Marshall, Sue Peck and Jack Marshall.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Friel, Sr., of Bartow; daughters, Pamela Starks, and husband, Timothy, of Durbin, Melissa Varner, and husband, John, of Back Mountain; son, Timmy Queen, of Bartow; grandchildren, Keisha Starks, Nikki Lambert, and companion, Dustin Matheny, and Kevin Lambert; great-grandchildren, Braden Matheny, Wesley Matheny, Aiddian Lambert and Payslee Lambert; adopted grandchild, Jessica Church, and husband, Norman; sisters, Becky Vandevender, and husband, Dallas, of Green Bank, Charlene Thomason, and husband, Billy, of Florida, George Marshall, of Norfolk, Virginia, Kathy Birely, of Idaho, and Jennifer McCarty, and husband, Rick, of Marlinton; brother, Sam Birely, and wife, Debbie, of Georgia; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral service was held Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Curry and Pastor William Vandevender officiating. Burial was in Gum Cemetery on Back Mountain.
