Percy Dewain Ross, age 70, of Arbovale, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, at his home, following a long illness.
Born June 15, 1947, in Logan, he was a son of the late Percy Ross and Hazel Helen Cremeans Shirkey.
Percy was a retired member of the United States Air Force with more than 27 years of service. He lived in Cross Lanes for 32 years, upon retirement, he and his wife, Janet, moved to their camp in Arbovale.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Veronica Jekanowski Ross; son, Paul D. Ross, and wife, Leesa A., of Chickamauga, Georgia; two aunts, Polly Walker, of Salt Rock, and Mary West, of Michigan; brother, James R. Ross, and wife, Joyce, of Ona; a niece; a nephew; and many other family members.
A memorial service was held October 19 in the Arbovale Cemetery Annex with Military Rites by the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corps.
