Paul R. Arbogast, Sr., age 85, of Durbin, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his home.
Born April 17, 1931, at Thornwood, he was a son of the late Dixie and Annie Vandevander Arbogast.
Paul retired from Howe’s Leather Company after 43 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Wamsley Arbogast.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen McLaughlin, of Elkins, and Kim Shinaberry, and husband, Daryl, of Green Bank; three sons, Paul Arbogast, Jr., and wife, Nancy, of Green Bank, and Larry Arbogast, and wife, Lisa, and Timmy Arbogast, all of Durbin; a sister, Maxine Cromer, of Durbin; a brother, Daniel Arbogast, and wife, Linda, of Durbin; 12 grandchildren, Amy Varner, Anita Arbogast, Trish Higgs, Alisha McLaughlin, Nikki Currence, Larry Randale Arbogast, Fonda Grimes, Melissa Lambert, Brandon Shinaberry, Christin Shinaberry, TaLisa Arbogast and Kristopher Arbogast; 13 great-grandchildren, Cierra Warner, Carleigh Warner, Caleb Arbogast, Wyatt Arbogast, Haley Bennett, Trenton Gray, Kerri Grimes, Brayden Shinaberry, Adrienne Shinaberry, Ben Lambert, Nicholas Lambert, Lilly Pingley and Maria Higgs; and one great-great-grandchild, Paisley Arbogast.
Funeral service was July 9 at Bethel United Methodist Church on Back Mountain Road, Durbin, with Pastor Allen Johnson officiating. Interment was the in Bethel Church Cemetery.
