Patricia Elaine Tyree Shafer, age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Born February 10, 1942, in Pocahontas County, she was a daughter of the late James Anin Tyree and Bertha Kellison Tyree.
Pat was a former tax preparer with Hewitt Tax Service, and a member of Stoners Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William N. Shafer; daughters, Candiss Jett, of Columbus, Montana, Tricia Jett Smith (Mo), of Danbury, North Carolina, and Toni Jett Evans, of Winston Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren, Bryant, Dylan, Anthony, Mackenzie, Brittaney, Logan and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Faith, Jedediah, River, Eliza and Brooklyn; sisters, Sharon Younger (G.T.), Donna Chester (Cliff), Earlene Tyree, all of Trinity, North Carolina, Diane Rexrove, of Thomasville, North Carolina, and Darlene Harold, of Lexington, North Carolina; and a brother, Butch, Tyree, of Trinity, North Carolina
A celebration to honor her life will be held at a later date.
