It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Kerns on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at age 77.
Born December 4, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Georgene Cutlip and Osborn Alderman.

Pat was of the Presbyterian Faith and sang in church choir. She was active in the Pocahontas Community Club and spent much of her time volunteering at the Little Levels Clothing Center. She worked at the Sewing Factory and Hanover Factory until they closed, the deli at Foodland, Pocahontas Pharmacy, and later retired from the Denmar Correctional Center as an accounting tech. She was a member of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Pat was a caring friend and woman of faith who loved and supported family her entire life.

Although Pat will be dearly missed by many, we navigate our healing journeys with comfort, knowing that she is at Home with the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marcelle Ryder; and brother, Dwain Wilcox; and her daughter, Angela Hefner.

She is survived by granddaughters, Jessica Camacho (Alex Camacho) and Stevie Loftis (Cole Wiggins); great-granddaughters, Kaden Wikle and AnnaMarie Camacho; great-grandson, Cole Wikle; niece, Shelia Cutlip; nephew, Mike Ryder; great-nieces, Ashli Diller (Caleb Diller), Megan Ryder, Katelynn Ryder, Melissa Ryder and Nicole Ryder; great- nephews, Jacob Cutlip (Becca Cutlip), Justin Ryder and Cody Wilcox; great-great-nephews include Brayden Diller, Koda Diller, Slaytee Cutlip and Keegan Ryder; special cousin, Jack Webb (Saundra Webb), and best friend of a lifetime, Nora Workman, and husband, Lawrence Skeeter Workman.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye.

Interment was in McNeel Cemetery at Hillsboro.

It was Pat’s wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 44 Denmar Road, Hillsboro, WV 24946.
