New faces in PMH Emergency Department

DUFF
MAHDI

Two new faces have joined Pocahontas Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department in recent weeks to ensure 24/7 emergency medical care for our community.

Dr. Mark Duff, DO, and Dr. Hanibal Mahdi, MD, are both now part of the multi-physician team seeing patients in the Emergency Department.

Dr. Duff is a graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He has just returned to the United States after serving in Iraq.

Dr. Mahdi received his medical degree from Damascus University Hospital in Syria.  He has previously worked at Grant Memorial Hospital and Raleigh General Hospital.

PMH’s Emergency Department is staffed with a professional, caring team whose goal is to provide high quality medical care as efficiently as possible.  The Emergency Department is fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week and was designated a Level IV Trauma Center in 2014.
