A BIT OF winter arrived in Pocahontas County Tuesday morning, and for those with an eye for nature – it was magical. It seems the world comes to the Balogh home on Brownstown Road, and Gwen Balogh and her camera are ever ready to record the comings and goings outside her window. Two deer appear to stop and pose for her in an otherwise undisturbed setting. More of Gwen’s snow photos can be found on the Pocahontas Nature Club Facebook page. The Pocahontas Nature Club, organized in 2008, is an affiliate of the Brooks Bird Club.
