Nancy McCarty Sayers, age 94, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Fairlea.
Born December 3, 1920, in Hillsboro, she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Hazel Fletcher McCarty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Sayers; a brother, Ellia Harrel McCarty; and a sister, Alice Kathleen McCarty Davis.
She is survived by her nephews, John McCarty, and wife, Ann, Harrel McCarty, and wife, Marian, and Louis McCarty, and wife, Barbara, and their children and grandchildren; and a special friend, Carolyn Bryant.
The family would like to thank all personnel at Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home and Lewisburg Hospice Care for the excellent services provided by them.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
