Obit Mildred Zuccarelli
Mildred E. “Millie” Zuccareill, age 83, of Tampa, Florida, and formerly of Marlinton, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 23, 2014, after a short battle with cancer.
Born June 15, 1931, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Beulah E. Dean, and the granddaughter of the late John Denton Wilfong and Lula Frances Wilfong who raised her.
Mildred was a 1949 graduate of Marlinton High School. She was a bookkeeper for Ralph Beckwith before moving to Tampa, Florida, where she retired from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department in 1999.
She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida, where she loved to spend her time.
In addition to her mother and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Denny W. Sharp; second husband, Stanley L. Pollard; and a brother, Bobby L. Dean.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James L. “Jim” Zuccarelli, of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Richard M. Dean, of Wimauma, Florida; a daughter, Denise Burgess, and husband, Ethan, of Marlinton; three sons, Michael Pollard, and wife, Laurie, of Gibsonton, Florida, Wayne Pollard, and wife, Ernestine, of Marlinton, and Calvin Pollard, of Hopewell, Virginia; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service December 30 at 1 p.m. at Central Union United Methodist Church in Brush Country with Pastor Sam Felton officiating. Interment in the Wilfong Family Cemetery in Brush Country. Following the service, family will gather at the Central Union Community Center.
