Mildred Cox

Mildred Mae Cox, age 94, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Allegheny Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Virginia.

Born July 26, 1920, at Elkins, she was a daughter of the late Ray Emery and Mamie Miller Yeager.

Mildred was a member of the Durbin United Methodist Church and was retired from Hanover Shoe Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George “Max” Cox.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet S. Varner, and husband, Jacky Varner, Sr., of Millville, New Jersey; a son, William M. Cox, and wife, Juanita, of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, David Varner, and wife, Donna, Gina Cavender, and husband, Jim, Michael Cox, and wife, Karen, Jodi Campbell, and husband, Hurley, Jack Varner, Jr., and wife, Sharon, and Kendra Bostard, and husband, Gregg; 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was August 29 at the Elkins Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
