WHILE SOME FOLKS celebrated May Day on May 1, folks at Snowshoe might have thought “mayday” was more appropriate. After a winter of very little natural snow, a late storm descended on the mountains May 1 and 2, leaving 16 inches at Snowshoe and a little more than 20 inches at Canaan Valley.
