Mary Biller

Mary Kathleen “Katty” VanReenen Biller, age 71, of Elkins, graduated to her heavenly home Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Born July 25, 1946, at Campbelltown, she was a daughter of the late Arnold Lee and Theresa Marie Chappell VanReenen.

Mary was a member of the Elkins Church of the Nazarene, Elkins Lions Club and Elkins Lioness Club. She led a personal ministry of sending cards of encouragement to family and friends.

She graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and taught school at Hurricane Town Elementary in Putnum County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Wimpy” VanReenen and Harold “Hum” VanReenen.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Randall G. Biller; two daughters, Sarah Margaret Biller, and husband, Dean Gekas, of Boston, Massachusetts, and Jennifer Marie Dailey, and husband, David, of Boyds, Maryland; two grandchildren, Kathleen Mae Dailey and Abigail Christine Dailey; a brother, James “Jim” VanReenen, of Buckeye; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held December 11 at the Marlinton First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Terry Burgess officiating. Interment was in the Cochran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marlinton First Church of the Nazarene.
