Marvin Henry Schuhmann, age 81, of Mt. Sidney, Virginia, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Augusta Health.
Born March 28, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was a son of the late Henry and Wilhelmina Blaue Schuhmann.
Mr. Schuhmann was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the U.S. Forest Service as an assistant ranger. He was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church in Staunton, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Rexrode Schuhmann; and a sister, Marion Holland.
He is survived by his son Jeff Schuhmann, and wife, Kelly; a brother, Donald Schuhmann, of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Barbara Gotsch, and husband, Richard, of Martinsburg, Missouri, and Kathy Anderson, and husband, Bob, of Sullivan, Missouri; a granddaughter, Olivia Schuhmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 26, 11 a.m. at Parkway Wesleyan Church with Pastor Barry Lawson officiating. Inurnment will be in Arbovale Cemetery. There will be a reception at the church following the service.
