Travis Shane Dean, 47, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty April 7 to charges of failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance, improper use of evidence of registration, operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate and registration card to be carried and exhibited on demand. Dean was assessed $985.92 in court costs and fines.
Joseph Andrew Tawney, 42, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty April 29 to a charge of expired motor vehicle registration. Tawney was assessed $201.48 in court costs and fines.
Wesley Bowles, 40, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty to charges of driving while license suspended or revoked, failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance, operation of vehicle without evidence of registration, operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate and possession of a controlled substance without valid prescription. Bowles was assessed $1,145.92 in court costs and fines.
In Magistrate Jennifer Dunz’s court:
Danny Ray Mitchell, 38, of Beaver, pleaded no contest April 16 to two counts of shoplifting – removal of merchandise. Mitchell was assessed $372.96 in court costs and fines.
George Bradley Sewell, 43, of Hillsboro, pleaded no contest April 21 to charges of possession of a controlled substance without valid prescription and possession of meth. Sewell was assessed $415.21 in court costs and fines.
Joseph A. Teter, 23, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty April 25 to a charge of operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate. Teter was assessed $186.48 in court costs and fines.
Roy L. Walker, 58, of Hillsboro, entered a plea agreement April 28 on charges of DUI – impaired state and failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance. Walker was sentenced to 15 days suspended jail and assessed $747.96 in court costs and fines.
