According to Magistrate Court records, 26 cases were filed in August, the following reached disposition:

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Danny L. Adkins, 27, of Richwood, pleaded guilty August 22 to a charge of prohibited bait in catch and release. Adkins was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.

Dequandre O. Edwards, 23, of Newport News, Virginia, pleaded no contest August 11 to charges of speeding and passing in a no passing zone. Edwards was assessed $399.23 in court costs and fines.

Ryan A. Moore, 24, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest August 29 to a charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription. Moore was assessed $275.25 in court costs and fines.

Mason Slava Walker, 22, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty August 24 to a charge of domestic assault – committing violent injury or causing apprehension of same (family/household member). Walker was sentenced to six months’ suspended jail, 12 months’ unsupervised probation and assessed $275.25 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Jennifer Dunz’s court: 

William Harold Arbogast, 39, of Valley Bend, pleaded guilty August 30 to a charge of operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate. Arbogast was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

Robert L. Hubbard, 59, of Anchorage, Alaska, pleaded no contest August 18 to a charge of speeding. Hubbard was assessed $195.25 in court costs and fines.
