According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

Lance Austin Eads, 29, of Droop, appeared in court August 27 on charges of manufacturing/delivering/possessing with intent to manufacture Schedule I and II narcotic and knowingly or intentionally possess controlled substance without valid prescription. Bond was set at $10,000.

Karen D. Bennett, 46, of Hillsboro, appeared in court August 23 on a charge of battery upon another by making physical contact with force capable of causing pain or injury. Bond was set at $1,000.

David Willard Church, age unavailable, of Arlington, Virginia, appeared in court August 29 on a charge of driving under the influence with an alcohol concentration in the blood greater than or equal to .15. Bond was set at $1,000.

Bryan James Grubbe, 38, of Snowshoe, appeared in court August 28 on charges of domestic battery, immediate reports of accidents and accident involving damage of vehicle. Bond was set at $5,000.

Matthew Joseph Tuskan, 33, of Hillsboro, appeared in court August 25 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $2,500.

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Kathy Sue Fitzpatrick, 55, of Hillsboro, pleaded guilty August 18 to a charge of possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana. She was assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.

Robert Joseph Shomo, 24, of Belington, pleaded guilty August 26 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $175.25 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Matthew Scott Tasker, 47, of Rupert, pleaded guilty August 25 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

Proceedings were deferred for 12 months in the case of battery upon another by making physical contact with force capable of causing pain or injury against Dylan Jacob Lawson, 26, of Durbin. He was assessed $165.25 in court costs.

Charges of driving under the influence with alcohol concentration in blood greater than or equal to .15 and immediate reports of accidents against Richard Tyler Evans, 25, of Vienna were dismissed August 22. He will enter a plea to a new charge of reckless driving.
