According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

Gage Michael Martin, 24, of Huttonsville, appeared in court August 7 on charges of fleeing from an officer and driving while license suspended/revoked. Bond was set at $5,000.

Noah Mertens Page, 20, of Canandaigua, New York, appeared in court August 4 on charges of unlawful use of license or non-operator’s identification and driving under the influence. Bond was set at $1,000.

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Ricky Lynn Barkley, II, 28, of Bartow, pleaded no contest August 8 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Dylan Lee Weatherholt, 20, of Marlinton, pleaded no contest August 5 to a charge of passing in a no passing zone. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Charges of trespassing and intoxication in public places against Joshua Zealand Kans, 27, of Greensboro, North Carolina, were dismissed without prejudice August 8 to be consolidated with felony charges.

Katie Lynn Barr, 36, of Slaty Fork, pleaded guilty August 8 to a charge of driving while license is revoked for DUI. She was assessed $265.25 in court costs and fines.

A charge of driving while license revoked for DUI against Jennifer Fay Lambert, 28, of Mill Creek, was transferred to circuit court August 10.

Proceedings were deferred for six months in the case of Richard James Smith, 20, of Beverly, who is charged with brandishing a deadly weapon and destruction of property.

A charge of manufacturing/delivering/possessing with intent to manufacture/ deliver Schedule I or II narcotic against Amanda Bennett, 30, of Marlinton, was transferred to circuit court August 10.

A charge of wanton endangerment involving a firearm against Justin Andrew Perine, 30, of Durbin, was transferred to circuit court August 10.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Ryan A. Douglas, 19, of Arbovale, pleaded guilty August 2 to a charge of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription. He was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

Bernard Zack Knighton, 28, of Maysville, pleaded guilty August 8 to charges of driving while license suspended/revoked and no certificate of insurance. He was assessed $630.50 in court costs and fines.

Clair Elizabeth Provagena, 19, of Medina, Ohio, pleaded guilty August 2 to a charge of speeding. She was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.

Kaitlin Brooke Warf, 21, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty August 15 to a charge of speeding. She was assessed $240.25 in court costs and fines.

A charge of driving under the influence against Treve Allen Painter, 45, of Slaty Fork, was dismissed August 9 due to completion of the deferral plan.

James William Wood, Jr., 24, of Clayton, North Carolina, pleaded guilty August 9 to two counts of obstructing an officer. He was assessed $530.50 in court costs and fines. Charges of battery upon another by making physical contact with force capable of causing pain or injury and domestic battery were dismissed due to a plea agreement.

Bond was reduced from $20,000 to $10,000 August 9 in the case of James Lester, 33, of Nettie, who is charged with entry of building other than dwelling, grand larceny and conspiracy to inflict injury to persons or property.

A charge of obtaining money, property and services by false pretenses against Christina Mae Giese, 34, of Arbovale, was dismissed without prejudice August 11.
