As I write this, the children of Pocahontas County are experiencing their first day back at school. I am having a hard time believing that summer has passed by so quickly, and that some of the kids I remember as first graders are heading into eighth grade, or ninth grade, or will be seniors this year!

So in the spirit of approaching autumn days, I wanted to inform everyone that the libraries will be moving from summer hours to a new schedule as of September 2.

All five branches are closed Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day. Tuesday, September 2, will be our fresh start. I thought it might be helpful to give you all the branches’ information; you can clip this column and save it for the upcoming year.

Find us on Facebook, too. Links to our pages can be found under each branch on the webpage.
