Lawrence Richard Price, age 85, of Marlinton, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.
Born October 17, 1928, at Spring Creek, he was a son of the late Earl Richard and Lottie Jane Kelley Price.
Lawrence was a member of the Marlinton United Methodist Church. He was owner/operator of Price’s Body Shop for 35 years and was an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mabel Sharp Price; three daughters, Diana Sparks, and husband, Paul, Linda Green and Connie Grimes, and husband, Doug, all of Marlinton; three sons, Wayne Price, and wife, Paula, of Sugar Grove, Larry Price, and wife, Cindy, of Marlinton, and Jeffrey Price, and wife, Donna, of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Morgan, of Arbovale.
Funeral service was October 11 at the Marlinton United Methodist Church with Pastor David Merryman officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
