Laurel Rae Stone, age 78, of Blountville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019, at her home.
Born November 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Rae and Gilbert Goodsell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Charles.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah, (David), Dumas, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Pamela, (Mark), Hays, of Newton, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Brianne Hays and Kelsy Hays, both of Hickory, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Alice Hays and Ames Hays, both of Hickory, North Carolina; a sister, Kay, (Wayne), Begley, of Kingsport, Tennessee; six nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Todd McKown, of Blountville, Tennessee.
Per her request, the body was cremated and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter or other charity of your choice.
