Keith Edward Dean, 68, of Dillwyn, Virginia, formerly of Marlinton, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Born September 18, 1954, in Marlinton, he was a son of the late Bobby Lee and Judith Arlene Cassell Dean.

Keith was in EMS for more than 40 years; a paramedic since 1987; member, EMT and firefighter for the Marlinton Fire and Rescue Squad; member of the Marlinton Square Dance Club and called figures for square dances all over the place; and was a member of the Kiaros Inside.

Keith is survived by two children, Cullin Andrew Dean and Hannah Beth Noelle Dean, both of Lynchburg, Virginia; sister, Donna Dean-Chrivia, and husband, Richard; and brother, Herb Dean, and wife, Cheryl, all of Marlinton.

Funeral service was held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Burial was in Wilfong Cemetery near Marlinton.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Marlinton Fire and Rescue Squad, 709 Second Avenue Marlinton, WV 24954
