Judson Howard

Judson L. Howard, of Covington, Virginia, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020.

Born May 16, 1940, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late M.C. “John” and Eula Rose Howard.

Judson retired from the United States Army Special Forces after 28 years of service. He also retired from Westvaco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Buck” Howard; and sisters, Eileen Hanson, Gilda “Sis” Browning, Jennie Viers, Betty Kane, Luna Bryant and Eula Kitchen.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Raye Addleman Howard; sons, William L. Howard, (Connie), of Bedford, Virginia, and Phillip R. Howard, (Kim), of Covington, Virginia; adopted daughter, Elizabeth Howard, of Roanoke, Virginia; grandson, Ethan L. Howard, of Covington, Virginia; great-granddaughters, Lillie and Lainie Howard; sisters, Joanna Sharp, of Hillsboro, Juanita McNeill, of Marlinton, Cindy Pritchett, of New Kent, Virginia, and Sandy Lloyd, of Mineral, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

Per his request, no service will be held at this time.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue, 4911 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
