Joseph Thomas Aquinas Sharp, 75, of Marlinton, unexpectedly passed away Friday, March 1, 2024.

Born December 4, 1948, at Uniontown, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Owen and Margaret Sands Sharp.

Joe was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Following graduation, Joe enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1968 to 1974 as a telecommunications specialist. Upon discharge, he relocated to Washington, D.C. and, using his telecommunication experience, worked for companies such as Amtrack, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Riggs Bank and Computer Task Group.

Joe loved traveling, camping, fishing, woodworking and using his computer skills to assist non-profit organizations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pok Sun Sharp; brothers, Paul Owen Sharp, Fredrick Sharp and Peter Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Sharp; stepsons, David Palmer, and wife, Carla, and their daughter, Lillie, of Douglas, Georgia, and Kevin Palmer, and wife, Angie Palmer, and their children, Dalton, Abigail, Matthew, Jaci and Addison, of Milan, Georgia; brothers, Edward Sharp, of Gloucester, Virginia, and James Sharp, of Noth, Virginia; sisters, Anne Sharp Marcase, and husband, Robert, of Irwin, Pennsylvania, Mary Sharp Pidich, and husband, Jon, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; nephews, Robert Marcase, and wife, Tammy, and their son, Owen, Aaron Marcase and daughter, Lilly, and Benjamin Caldwell, and son, Nolan; niece, Sarah DiRito, and children, Alec, Jackson and Andrea.

Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, step-father, step-grandfather, bro-ther, uncle and friend. His warmth, wisdom and the joy he brought to those who knew him will be deeply missed.

In keeping with his wishes, a private memorial service with immediate family will be held at a later date.
