John Alvin Seabolt, age 57, of Franklin, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at his home.
Born July 21, 1957, in Elkins, he was a son of Lena Mae Currence Seabolt, of Durbin, and the late Levi Johnson.
John attended Cass Elementary School, Green Bank Elementary School and Pocahontas County High School. He attended Wanless United Methodist Church and had worked for 14 years as a carpenter and mechanic for Waggy Construction.
On April 30, 1992, he married Patti Simmons Tidd.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Megan Bancroft, and husband, Anthony, of Cowen, and Nicki Tidd, and fiancé, Fred Herb, of Franklin; a son, Johnnie Wayne “JW” Tidd, and wife, Tina, of McDow, Virginia; three sisters, Karen Rucker, and husband, Dale, and Christine Driver, all of Tucson, Arizona, and Michelle Lipscomb, and husband, Robert, of Durbin; a brother, Donald Seabolt, and wife, Hollie, of Durbin; eight grandchildren; and a special friend and buddy, James Hise, of Franklin.
Per John’s request the body was cremated. Funeral service was March 31 at Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin with Rev. Calvin Bailey officiating.
